The Corn, The Wine & The Oil

Topic: The Corn, The Wine & The Oil

Text: Joel 2 vs 19, 2 Corinthians 9 vs 8.

And God is able to make all grace abound toward me, that I, always
having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work in
Jesus' mighty name. Amen.

A great privilege of redemption is a no-reduction grace available to
every child of God. Jesus Christ our Lord is a win-win God, He is a
more and more deity. He is in the business of increase. His thoughts
are all about your blessings and expansion. No wonder in Joel 2 vs 19,
the Bible says that: "Yea, the Lord will answer and say unto his
people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall
be satisfied therewith, and I will no more make you a reproach among
the heathen". Hallelujah!

Brethren, we are not wasting our time by staying with the King of
glory. God is interested in the whole of our being. What does the
corn, the wine and the oil represent? The corn represents food and
sustenance. This is in line with the promise of God that, "you shall
eat in plenty and be satisfied". Wine represents drink and
refreshment. God is not in the business of dryness. He wants us to be
refreshed, and bubble with vigour and this is why He says that, I will
send you wine. Wine, however, is not liquor or strong drink. You
cannot be filled with the spirit of God and be inflamed with the
spirit of liquor at the same time.

Oil represents power and fire of God. It is the anointing and unction
for exploits. It is the physical symbol of the presence of God in the
lives of His children. So, you see, we have all that we need! Each
time you meditate on 2 Corinthians 9 vs 8: "And God is able to make
all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency
in all things may abound to every good work", what do you do? You
ought to be jubilant and militant in your praise to God. God is both a
father of supplies and of sufficiency. The whole earth and heaven
belong to Him. He is in charge of all things and He has blessed you
with all things that are in His charge! Hallelujah!

Brethren, seeing that you are so blessed like this, what should be
your attitude? You ought to be praiseful and faith-full. Your praise
will always raise you and you need faith not to faint. There is need
for you to learn how to praise God. Praise is so important that you
need to be schooled in it.  I have heard of School of Prayers but I
have never heard of a School of Praise. This is so because we are too
casual about praise. Even in our relationships with one another, we
need to learn praise. The Holy Spirit will assist us in this regard in
Jesus' name.

Many times, we faint and grow cold about so many things around us. We
are hurt and hounded by experiences of life. We are bruised and
battered by delay and poor delivery of our desires. All we need is
faith in God. Have faith in God. God has no record of failure. He will
surely bring the corn, the wine and the oil to you in due season in
Jesus' name. Today, brace yourself up for a new praise to the Lord.
See Him in your expectations, not in your limitations and the cloud
will drop rain unto you in Jesus' name. Amen. Shalom.
