Topic: My Salt Will Not Lose Its Savour In Jesus' Name!

Text: Mattew 5 vs 13.

"Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost its savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden  under foot of men"- Mattew 5 vs 13.

The golden words above are indeed weighty. God's purpose for us is essentially awesome. We are the salt of the earth: our sweetness is both within and without. We are God's goodness in every dimension of goodness. A Christian must be a delight to his environment. He must spread joy, distribute riches, extend peace and rest, enlighten every darkness and make hopes alive. That is why Jesus says: "Ye are the salt of the earth".

Though God made us sweet and wants us to sweeten our world, the reality today is that the world is neither sweet nor Christians fulfilling the expectations of our God around the world. Crises, discord, divorce, bitterness, rancor, unrest, conspiracy and betrayal are common place, even within and around believers. This is sad. The heart of God is bleeding over this situation. Our salt must not lose its savour and it is only God that can do this.

A Christian's love is his salt! 1 Corinthians 13 vs 1-13 detail God's kind of love which we must manifest in our lives. God is relating to us on the basis of this scripture. We must also seek to attain unto this. Our hearts must be pure and free. Deceit is not of God. Double-speak, double-standard have no place with God. Smartness is not a word of God: we are told to be wise and not to be smart! Cutting corners have never helped anyone. Those who take short cuts are bound to be cut short!

Spirit-filled Christians should not find peace difficult. "Pursue peace with all men and holiness without which no man will see God!"( Heb 12:14). This is all part of the sweetness God speaks about in the Bible. Pride is not sweet. Lies are not sweet. Back biting is not sweet. Fear is not sweet. There is no sweetness in wickedness my brethren. Laziness is not sweet either. God will weed away every bitterness in our lives in Jesus' name.

Good news! We can all be re-salted! The Holy spirit will do this for us in Jesus' name. Our salt content can be increased. God can destroy the robbers of our salt and He will do it today in Jesus'' name. The mystery of living a salted life is this: God makes available to you what you made available to others! If you give joy, you will harvest joy. We have all committed the golden rule to our hearts, we need to commit it to our manners! This is what will bring out our saltiness.

We give nice adjectival epithets to ourselves: sweet heart; sweetie, honey and the like- we need to live those titles and make our world a better place for all of us. The perfect health, prosperity, promotion, fruitfulness, preservation and other blessings we need will surely locate us, if only we call them forth by our sweetness. God is sweet and that is why He is able to make sweet things available. You cannot call forth prosperity out of a bitter heart. Fruitfulness cannot come out of an unforgiving heart. If you are sweet within, you will never find sweetness hard or absent around you.

Praise and Worship.

Topic: The Disaster Called Rebellion!

Texts: Psalm 68 vs 6. Psalm 107 vs 34, Psalm 66 vs 7, Isaiah 14 vs 12-14.

"God set teeth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land" ( Psalm 68 vs 6).
"For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou has rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king"( 1 Samuel 15 vs 23).

What is rebellion? Rebellion is simply refusal to come under the authority of someone above you, it is defiant rejection of authority, it is even worse than insubordination because it is contemptuous, sometimes violent rejection of lawful authorities. Rebellion is disobedience without repentance. It is justification of impunity and disrespect to constituted authority.

Satan, in Isaiah 14 vs 12-14, rebelled against the Righteous One, the King of glory and the Lord of hosts! He wanted to be like the Lord and executed the first coup in heaven. Of course, he lost calamitously! Satan was an angel made by God but he wanted to exalt himself higher than his maker. God is God and cannot be overtaken or overplayed by any disobedient power.

All around us today is this evil called rebellion. It is in homes where wives are obeying the law of inverted authority-setting themselves over their husbands and justifying it by their economic power! Listen to me: any wife that places herself above her husband is rebellious. What the Bible says is: wives submit yourself to your husbands and it is without any condition.

In offices, rebellion has become an unwritten rule of engagement. A Christian that disobeys his or her boss and is unrepentant is speeding to hell. Children no longer obey their parents to the fullest, the "old school syndrome" is a formula of destruction. God views this sin very grievously and considers it as terrible as the sin of witchcraft. This means that any disobedient or rebellious person is a witch! And God says that witches are not meant to live!( Exodus 22 vs 18).

Rebellion is disastrous because it opens a door for demons to invade a destiny. Demons are evil angels that crashed with Satan. A rebellious person is in the same league and club as demons. Demons don't pray because the judgment of God is upon them. This means that the prayers of a rebellious person( if it is not a prayer of repentance) is a waste. As matter of fact, God calls it an abomination!

Brethren, rebellion constructs brick walls against blessings. This is why God says that "the rebellious dwell in a dry land"( Psalm 68 vs 6). It may appear that some rebellious people are prospering, if they don't repent, it won't last. Why? The Bible says in Psalm 107 vs 34 that iniquities turn " a fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein".  This means that rebellion is a stopper of success. This will not be our portion in Jesus' name. More grievously, hell  is the eternity of all acts of rebellion. God will not allow this in our lives in Jesus' name.

Many of the delay, disappointment, frustration and crises people suffer, come from rebellion. We are quick to blame others for our challenges. Examine yourself: are you a rebellious person? If you are in this league, quickly run back to God in repentance because there is nothing good that will come from such a life. God says "blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth"( Mattew 5:5). So, if the meek are blessed, what happens to the rebellious? You can just imagine! Today, the Lord, will raise a standard against the spirit of rebellion in any area of our lives in Jesus' name.

1. Praise the Lord for 21 things He is doing within and around you.
2. Bring quality repentance unto the Lord for all acts of rebellion in your life that you know. Ask the Lord to forgive you and cleanse you by His blood.
3. I bind every demon of rebellion in all areas of my life in Jesus' name.
4. Father, by your power and your mercy,  close every door of disobedience in my life in Jesus' name.
5. Lord, release the spirit of adoption and sonship into my life in Jesus' name.
6. I decree and declare, my fruitful land will not turn to barrenness in Jesus' name.
7. Palace of strangers in my life, crash into pieces in Jesus' name.
8. O Lord, burst every balloon of pride fluttering around my destiny in Jesus' name.
9. My destiny, reject  food of losers and failures in Jesus' name.
10. Lord Jesus, break every prison holding my wealth and benefits in Jesus' name.
11.  I speak to the heavens, in the name of the Lord, I shall not lose my access to grace in Jesus' name.
12. Lord, by your blood, erase the expiry date on my favour in Jesus' name.
13. O Lord, draw me out of evil waters in Jesus' name.
14. Every cloud over my destiny must bring rain in Jesus' name.
15. Lord, by your power, do not allow me to derail from wisdom and your fear in Jesus' name.
16. The brevity of this life will not destroy my eternity in Jesus' name.
17. O Lord arise, deliver me from abortion of hope and joy in Jesus' name.
18. Make my life a forever book of testimony and glory for the whole world to read in Jesus' name.
19. Lord, by your power, break every gang-up assigned to break up my success in Jesus' name.
20. Evil conductors of crises and curses, die in Jesus' name.
21. Thanks you Lord for restoring all that I have lost to the locusts of rebellion in Jesus' name.

God be praised! Pls, pray and share. God bless you. Pastor Dele Oyewale( February 27, 2014).
