Overpowering Territorial Oppressors & Evil Hosts.

Topic: Overpowering  Territorial Oppressors  & Evil  Hosts.

Text: Isaiah 19 vs 2 & vs 17.

The earth is the Lord and the fullness thereof,  but anyone oppressing me, on any territory of the earth,  will fail; his claim will be lost and his pride will be punctured in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

The Lord of hosts says in Isaiah 19 vs 2 thus: "And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians; and they shall fight everyone against his brother, and everyone against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom". You may want to ask: why will the Almighty God do this against the Egyptians? The answer is simple: they are territorial oppressors and evil hosts to the people of God.

Who are territorial oppressors and evil hosts? They are privileged people that are oppressing others,  owing to the privileges offered them by God. They are people who truly have a right of claim to something,  but are proud and oppressive in their claim. For example; the owner of a house, car, land, office, business, premises, etc., have a right to his possession but when he turns himself to an idol, he becomes an evil host.

Territorial oppressors and evil hosts are at work, when: 1. People around them are treated as slaves, 2. When they expect others not so privileged to kowtow to them; cringe and flatter them, 3. When they violate and assault others by verbal arrows and tongues of fire. 4. When they put people around them in a spiritual cage. 5. When insulting and degrading treatments are meted to people operating in their territories.

if you search through the Bible, every territorial oppressor and evil host, like Pharaoh, King of Egypt and his people, Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, Ahab and his wife , Jezebel, Peninnah, wife of Elkanah, in 1 Samuel 1 vs 3-7, Potiphar's wife (39 vs 7-20)and quite a number of other wicked overseers, eventually met their Waterloo. Around you are such people: they boast of their influence; they flaunt their wealth and oppress you with their position. They cannot last for long, except they repent. God did not make anyone to be lord and master over his fellows.

Get this right: there are leaders- good, God-fearing and righteous ones. They are placed over their fellows, for their blessings and strengths. They are not task masters and God wants us to pray for them. However, those who are given to oppression, brutality, pride and vanities-  risk serious sanctions from God, if they don't repent. Good bosses are not doing anyone any favour by being good- they are doing themselves a whole lot of good, because God does not waste any time  in cutting down a tree that prevents little shrubs from growing.

Husbands terrorizing their wives should beware. House-wives oppressing their maids should be careful. Employers subjecting their employees to hard bondage should remember what happened to Pharaoh. Landlords and landladies should watch their conduct to their tenants. Leaders envying and pursuing their subordinates should repent, or  risk being treated like King Saul in the Bible, who died a shameful death pursuing David. Wicked bosses in offices should be careful, because God does not allow injustice to last for long. Check yourself where God puts you, lest you become a territorial oppressor and get a kicking from God.

Lastly, let us know that: at the end of everything- everyone will be equal! Persecution, like hatred, makes its victim a winner. May God guide and direct us, as we allow the Holy Spirit take us through all our experiences in Jesus' name. Amen. Shalom.

Worship the King of kings and the Lord of lords for being a good, approachable, loving and caring God. Sing a song of love to the Lord!

20. Lord, grant me a voice and a face in my nation in Jesus' name.

Hallelujah! May you never be a territorial oppressor & evil host in Jesus' name. Pls, pray & share. Jesus is coming very very soon! God bless you. Pastor Dele Oyewale (April 23rd, 2015).
